L'Ultima Notte Rosa | The Final Tour

After 50 years of a career dotted with success and awards in Italy and all over the world, more than 80 millions albums sold and over 2000 concerts, Umberto Tozzi gives his farewell to the live scene with an extraordinary worldwide tour, 'L'ULTIMA NOTTE ROSA: THE FINAL TOUR,' that will cross three countries between 2024 and 2025. The artist will celebrate the must-see grand finale dedicating to the Italian public two date events in magical and suggestive venues, on June 20 at Terme di Caracalla in Rome and on July 7 in Piazza San Marco in Venice.

There will be other six special dates in Italy in 2024: on August 22nd at Villa Bellini in Catania, on August 28th in Macerata at the Sferisterio, on September 4th in Piazza dei Signori for the VICENZA IN FESTIVAL, on September 13th at the Reggia di CASERTA, on October 5th at the Forum in MILAN, and on October 12th at InAlpi Arena in TURIN.

The surprise announcement was made today, March 15th, 2024, at L’Olympia Theatre, the Paris most antique concert hall, one of the most prestigious auditorium of the world, a stage that the artist has trodden three times, the last of them in January 2024, and that will be one of the must-see steps of the 'L’ULTIMA NOTTE ROSA: THE FINAL TOUR.'"

Last chance to live the emotions of Umberto Tozzi’s live performances, it will be a series of more than 30 unforgettable live performances in exceptional locations that will cross three continents: Europe, the United States, and Oceania.

An orchestra of 21 members will accompany the unique voice of the Artist.

 

Charismatic and creative singer and songwriter, Umberto Tozzi thanks to his evergreens has become an icon of the Italian music and he has crossed and excited entire generation, filling the world's most important music venues with his concerts and his loyal, cross-genre audience.

 

Several records in terms of chart hits that have characterized the artist life of Tozzi, from “Ti Amo”, an unforgettable song of 1977, that stayed  at the top of the charts for more than seven months, breaking all sales records and winning that year's edition of Festivalbar, has crossed every boundary with its many covers, until reaching to be the centre of one of the most important scenes of the popular series “House of paper 4”.

 

Impossible not to mention the worldwide hit “Gloria”- chosen for Martin Scorsese’s movie soundtrack “The Wolf of Wall Street”,as well as for “ Flashdance” directed by Adrian Lyne- which carried Umberto Tozzi's name overseas thanks to Laura Branigan's 1982 cover of the song and reached number 1 on the United States Chart staying on the  Billboard hot 100 for 36 weeks.

And again 'Si può dare di più', 'Gli altri siamo noi', 'Gente di mare', 'Dimmi di no', 'Stella Stai', 'Donna amante mia', 'Claridad' (recorded by Luis Fonsi) and 'Eva', brought to success throughout Latin America by Ivete Sangalo.

 

1982 was the years in which Umberto Tozzi received the Golden Globe, an award for over 27 million copies sold in just five years and it’s also the year in which he was nominated for a Grammy Award with “Gloria” sung by Laura Branigan. After winning Festival of Sanremo in 1987 with “Si può dare di più” sung with Gianni Morandi and Enrico Ruggeri, in 1988 he came third at Eurovision Song Contest with “Gente di Mare” together with Raf.

 

Yet another example of Umberto Tozzi’s art has always climbed crossed all boundaries, geographical, temporal and above all cultural, is the impressive number of cinematographic masterpieces and television serialities that in these 50 years of career have chosen the hits of the singer-songwriter as soundtrack:  "THE NEW MONSTERS" by Mario Monicelli, Dino Risi and Ettore Scola (1977), "FLASHDANCE" by Adrian Lyne (1983), "ASTERIX AND OBELIX Mission Cleopatra" by Alain Chabat (2002), "HOSTEL" by Quentin Tarantino (2005), "THE WOLF OF WALL STREET" by Martin Scorsese (2013), "GLORIA BELL" by Sebastian Lelio (2018), "TONYA" by Margot Robbie (2018), "SPIDER MAN FAR FROM HOME" by Jon Watts (2019) and "LA CASA DE PAPEL 4" by Jesus Colmenar (2020), "SUPERSEX" by Matteo Rovere, Francesco Carrozzini and Francesca Mazzoleni (2024) and "GRISELDA" by Andrés Baiz (2024).

 

Over the years, Umberto Tozzi has collected many unforgettable collaborations with great Italian artists, such as Mogol, Dalida, Eros Ramazzotti, Gianni Morandi, Pooh, Raf, Monica Bellucci, Enrico Ruggeri and Marco Masini, and international ones, with the likes of Anastacia, Francis Cabrel, Laura Branigan, Sergio Dalma, Howard Carpendale and many others.

 

On the occasion of the announcement of the last tour of his career, an important new collaboration is premiered today: a special, unreleased version of the hit 'Donna amante mia' in which Umberto Tozzi duets with singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, founder of Negramaro, Giuliano Sangiorgi, who also produced the song. 'Donna amante mia' will be available on digital platforms from Friday 22 March, in conjunction with the release of the video clip on YouTube (official Umberto Tozzi VEVO channel).

After the debut in Malta on 17 May, the live dates of “L'ULTIMA Notte rosa THE FINAL TOUR” will continue in Romania before finally arriving in Italy with two extraordinary event dates on 20 JUNE in ROME at TERME DI CARACALLA and on 7 JULY in VENICE at PIAZZA SAN MARCO.

This will be followed, again in 2024, by stages in France, Germany and Bulgaria before returning to Italy on 22 August in Catania at Villa Bellini, on 28 August in Macerata at the Sferisterio and, after two stages in Croatia, on 4 September in Vicenza at Piazza dei Signori, on 13 September in Caserta at the Reggia, on 5 October in Milan at the Forum and on 12 October in Turin at the InAlpi Arena. This is followed by the last concert of the year in Switzerland, which will be followed in 2025 by other live performances in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Canada, the USA, France and Australia.
